The Balearic Islands initiate disciplinary proceedings against Volotea for not having a free consumer hotline

After FACUA's complaint, the Minister of Consumer Affairs has considered that the airline violated the law by providing only 902 lines and geographic prefix lines.

Following the complaint by FACUA-Consumers in Action, the Balearic Islands have initiated disciplinary proceedings against Volotea for not offering free consumer service lines on its website – having only 902 telephone lines and geographic prefixe lines -, despite the fact that since December 2020 it is obliged to have free telephone lines as it is a company that provides basic services of general interest.

The proceedings have been initiated by the Minister of Consumer Affairs in the Balearic Islands.
