The association calls on consumers to continue fighting for their rights and regrets that the European Court of Justice has not used their order to strengthen the user's defense against abuse in the sector.

FACUA-Consumers in Action calls on consumers to continue fighting so that all interests on mortgages referenced to the IRPH (reference index for mortgage loans) are annulled. They warn that the ECJ order in favour of the bank is far from closing the matter, since it should not be understood that an average consumer has access to this information so easily and is able to understand its operation as well as the consequences that its acceptance could have on their financial situation.
The association considers the European Court of Justice’s (ECJ) order of last November 17 to be absolutely disappointing. It exempts banks, if a series of conditions are met, from the obligation to give all information to users when contracting mortgages with the variable interest clause IRPH. <
