FACUA-Consumers in Action demands that continuous psychological assistance be guaranteed over time to those affected by the volcanic eruption on the Canary Island of La Palma.

The association has sent separate letters to Health Minister, Carolina Darias, and the Health Minister of the Canary Islands Government, Blas Gabriel Trujillo, to urge them to coordinate whatever measures are appropriate so that the victims of the volcano can receive periodic, adequate, and individualized health and psychological care, and for it to be extended over time.

Thus, although there are already teams of specialists in the field who are providing emergency psychological assistance, which is vital to reduce the first mental impact of suffering this tragedy,
