9 out of 10 financial companies analyzed by FACUA do not provide free telephone numbers
The association has reported 23 of these companies for failing to comply with the law that requires them to have free numbers for customer service.

FACUA-Consumers in Action has filed a large number of complaints with the Minister of Consumer Affairs Alberto Garzón and the regional consumer protection authorities after verifying that 9 out of 10 financial companies analyzed by the association skip the law that obliges them to have free telephone numbers for consumer services in a broad sense.
This is shown by the study carried out by FACUA on the web pages of 25 financial service providers that do not fall under the bank category. Of these, only two (Cofidis and Credimat) comply with the legislation, providing free telephone lines that ensure service to consumers, whether or not they are customers.
