FACUA calls on the Government for maximum gasoline prices and a 50 euro cap on electricity MWh

The association warns that the European Commission allows both tax increases on energy companies and price intervention.

FACUA-Consumers in Action is calling on the Government to set maximum prices for gasoline, a ceiling of 50 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity in the wholesale market and the application of a special tax on large oil and energy companies. The association warns that these measures are perfectly compatible with the proposals launched by the European Commission on energy matters.
