FACUA denounces Grupo MásMóvil for a serious security hole in its portability protocol

FACUA-Consumers in Action has denounced the MásMóvil Group for a serious security hole in its portability protocol. Lines contracted with any operator can be fraudulently migrated to companies such as Yoigo, MásMóvil and Pepephone just by knowing the name and ID of the holder.

Complaints have been filed with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) and the Directorate General for Consumer Affairs of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.

FACUA reported the irregularities to the telecommunications group more than two months ago, but to date it has still not remedied them. In its response, it tells the association that it will do so «before December 31».
