Black Fraud: 86% of consumers believe that the vast majority of businesses offer false discounts

86% of consumers believe that the vast majority of businesses offer false discounts on Black Friday, according to a survey conducted by FACUA-Consumers in Action this November.

The association reports that fraudsters carry out these practices due to a feeling of impunity. This is caused by the fact that fines from the regional consumer protection authorities do not arise. The irregularities consist in keeping prices identical to those on previous dates and pretending to apply discount percentages or in considerably increasing the amount of the products hours or days before Black Friday to return them to the original price. Irregularities which make it seem like there has been a big drop in price.
