Banking: FACUA asks Garzón and Calviño to prohibit charges on vulnerable users when withdrawing money
The association warns that many banks are imposing fees for withdrawing cash at their offices, harming people who cannot use ATMs.

FACUA-Consumers in Action has approached the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Alberto Garzón, and the Minister of Economic Affairs, Nadia Calviño, to urge them to carry out the necessary measures to prohibit charging vulnerable users for withdrawing money in bank offices when the use of ATMs is not possible due to their personal circumstances.
The association warns that in recent years many banks have implemented a series of commission policies that translate into worsening payment account conditions. Among them, charging users who decide to withdraw money at branches instead of using ATMs.
