Banking, energy and telecommunications, the sectors most reported by consumers to FACUA in 2023
The association received 42,887 enquiries and complaints last year. The association criticises the inaction of consumer protection authorities in the face of massive fraud.

The banking sector was at the forefront of consumer complaints at FACUA-Consumidores en Acción in 2023, followed by the utilities and telecommunications sectors. This is revealed in its report What consumers report, which the association’s president, Olga Ruiz, presented this Thursday at a press conference to explain the reasons for the 42,887 queries and complaints received by the organisation in the last financial year.
Last year, FACUA’s legal teams opened 8,029 complaint files on behalf of its members. In terms of queries raised by consumers at the offices of FACUA’s regional organisations, via the telephone number 688 954 954 and on the FACUA.org website, the figure reached 34,858 (see
