CTC: FACUA takes legal action to demand that electricity companies return up to 2,800 million
The association has launched action together with four other social organisations.

FACUA-Consumers in Action, along with other social organizations (Economistas contra la Crisis, Greenpeace, Transición Verde and the Asociación para la Defensa Ecolóxica de Galicia) have commenced procedures on Tuesday to claim in court the pending debt of electricity companies for consumers related to the so-called Costs of Transition to Competition (CTC). This can range between 1,500 and 2,800 million euros.
It is an ordinary appeal concerning the Incident of Execution of the Judgment on July 18, 2005 by the Administrative Division of the High Court – confirmed by a Supreme Court judgement on May 8, 2008 – regarding the amount of the capital gains obtained by Endesa from the sale of Electra de Viesgo to ENEL.
