FACUA deplores Minister Planas' alignment with speculators and refusal to act on price rises
The association considers it a joke for the minister to announce that he is going to monitor price developments almost two months after the VAT cut came into effect.

FACUA-Consumers in Action regrets that the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, has chosen to align himself with the interests of large companies that are inflating their profit margins and refuses to act against price rises.
The minister made this clear on Monday during the meeting of the Food Chain Observatory, where he assured that all the price rises that have occurred in foodstuffs over the last year are the result of cost increases, without in any case pointing to increases in margins by large manufacturers and distribution chains.
